August – November
2010
To be held on the Gold Coast at the Sacred Heart Parish
50 Fairway Drive, Clear Waters Qld
Fan the Flame is a unique ecumenical opportunity for personal
and professional renewal. The program suits
pastoral associates, parish councillors, members of leadership teams, chaplains,
teachers, campus ministers, anyone
wishing to renew and deepen their faith - mums, dads, grandparents.
What will I experience? Input, reflection and discussion
on the following:
- Companioning your soul
Learning to listen to the whispers and hints of our truest
self in God
- How at this time in my life do I understand conversion?
Our relationship with God will call us to a variety of twists, turns and surprising new directions. How do we make this journey in a life-giving manner?
- From Toxic to Sacred Woundedness
What the Jesus story invites us to do with our pain and joy
for the sake of transformation.
- You are my be-loved
A look at our truer self through the eyes of Jesus. Who does Jesus say I am?
- Ministry is more about who I am than what I do!
At the heart of ministry is the spirit in which we come into relationship. Who are you as a minister and what difference do you make in the lives of others?
- Choosing what is good and life-giving … the delicate
art of discernment
Coming to a more mature appreciation of what it means “to
do God’s will”.
- Retreat (13 November)
Allowing God to wash over you at the conclusion of the renewal.
Members of our team bring a range
of experiences, skills and training in ministry, spirituality,
counselling, psychology, theology, social justice and spiritual
direction:
